Yaz Side Effects
Yaz side effects (also Yasmin) and gallbladder disease have two things in common. First, taking one of these birth control pills is thought to elevate the leveal of cholesterol that finds its way into your liver. Second, Yaz & Yasmin reduces the activity of your gallbladder. Both can lead to gallbladder disease and could cause the untimely removal of your gallbladder. Gallbladder problems are one of the most commonly reported serious Yaz side effects for women using this birth control pill. Gallstones that form after using Yasmin birth control may never become symptomatic and require treatment. However, if they cause inflammation, your doctor will recommend gallbladder removal. The preferred approach is to remove your gallbaldder laparoscopically. A few small incisions are made into your abdomen through which the organ is carefully extracted. Unfortunately the surgeon may be forced to perform open surgery if an infection is present. That requires making a long incision (up to 8 inches) into your abdomen and cutting through your abdominal muscles to reach and remove your gallbladder. If you have developed gallbladder disease or had to have your gallbladder removed after taking Yasmin or Yaz birth control pills, see your doctor or contact an attorney immediately. Contact a Yaz attorney to discuss your potential case and decide if monetary compensation is due. You may be able to file a claim against the manufacturer of Yaz, Yasmin, or Ocella birth control pills.
